The rate at which time flies is unreal,
but how long can one stay in the same place?
3 is around the corner for the little king..
through all these projects and hundreds of pieces I've written since his birth, the theme was common, fear..
fear of jumping,
the unknown,
fear of what i did know,
both true and false pictures of myself created by years of over-thought.. it's that paralyzing mental prison that keeps you where you feel safe and wanted..
my safe place being in the arms of music,
truth being,
the thing i wanted the most, a family, i had and lost due to a lack of self belief,
being overly critical and doubting my abilities to be a good father because of the relationship with my own..
i needed guidance when i should have been there to step up and guide myself..

becoming a father 3 years ago was beautiful in a time where everything else around me was falling apart, admitting mental and emotional weakness in not confronting what kept me away from all i truly loved and needed..
facing and being connected to the things internal that makes me, us human, is a lesson learnt invaluable even along an unlit path,
but faith x love will always light the road to better,
and as long as there is life i have that chance to be the man and the father i know i can be..
I'm still scared,
but I have to find a way through.
